Mid-Century Rope Chair by Audoux & Minet, France, 1950s

€2,300.00

A beautiful example of the work of Audoux & Minet, this 1950s rope chair combines rustic craftsmanship with a refined, sculptural silhouette. Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet were known for their dedication to simple, honest materials — particularly rope, rattan and wood — creating pieces that became emblematic of the relaxed French Riviera aesthetic of the mid-century.

This chair was produced by Vibo in Vesoul, France, the original workshop that manufactured many of Audoux & Minet’s designs during the 1950s.

The chair features a solid wooden frame with elegant curved lines and tightly woven rope seating. The rope is in very good vintage condition, while the wood shows a beautiful, warm patina consistent with age. The structure remains strong and stable.

Four chairs are available in total and sold individually, allowing you to select a single statement chair or assemble a complete set.
